This personal website was created to present a photographer’s body of work and immersive virtual tour projects in a way that feels immediate, tactile, and true to the craft. The site is organized into distinct pages that each highlight a specific photographic discipline—landscape, portrait, architecture, and curated series—so visitors can move directly to the work that interests them. Photographs are presented at web-appropriate sizes and quality levels to preserve detail while minimizing load time; responsive image techniques, modern formats, and progressive or lazy-loading strategies are used so galleries render quickly without sacrificing the nuance of the prints. Attention was given to metadata and semantic structure so each image is discoverable and accessible, and so search engines and screen readers can understand context, credits, and captions.

Virtual tours are embedded from Kuula and integrated seamlessly into the site’s layout so viewers can step into 360° environments without leaving the photographer’s branded experience. These embedded tours are wrapped with thoughtful framing and fallbacks to ensure they behave well on mobile devices and under constrained network conditions; the page prioritizes visible content and defers heavier assets so interactive panoramas load when a visitor is ready to engage. The navigation between static galleries and immersive tours is designed to feel intuitive, letting the visitor move from a quiet image study into a fully exploratory scene with minimal friction.

Micro-interactions and controls are purposefully tied to photographic language: buttons feature a custom hover effect inspired by camera settings, with tactile, mechanical-feeling motion that evokes aperture rings and exposure dials. This effect is subtle and refined so it reads as a familiar photographic gesture rather than a gimmick—hovering a button produces a small, responsive twist and a soft highlight that suggests precision and craft, reinforcing the site’s visual identity. Overall the site balances performance, usability, and atmosphere to create a polished online gallery that showcases images and virtual tours with clarity and character, inviting potential clients and fans to linger, explore, and connect with the photographer’s vision.
